Chillicothe Neighborhoods and Real Estate

Chillicothe neighborhoods sit about 20 minutes north of Peoria along the Illinois River, and the town has a small-town feel. It's a short drive to jobs around Peoria, and Caterpillar's Mossville plant is just down the road.

The drive between the two is part of the appeal. River Road runs along the Illinois River between Peoria and Chillicothe, and it's one of the prettiest drives in the area. Route 29 runs through town, with several gas stations along it. Freight trains still roll through, though the old Amtrak stop is gone.
