Metamora neighborhoods grew out from a town square anchored by the historic Metamora Courthouse. The square still sets the tone, with coffee shops and eateries around it, and the town is about 15 to 20 minutes northeast of Peoria in Woodford County, right next to Germantown Hills.
For everyday needs, Metamora has a full-service grocery store, gas stations and a McDonald's. For the outdoors, Black Partridge Park sits on the northwest side of town: about 450 acres with more than 8 miles of wooded hiking and biking trails.

Metamora homes
Near the square, you'll find older homes, some more than 100 years old and many from the early 1900s. Moving outward, there are newer subdivisions. The higher-priced homes tend to sit on the outskirts of town, and as in Germantown Hills, properties often come with more land than you'd find in Peoria.
