- Getting around
- About ten miles east of Peoria along Route 150. I-74 splits the town nearly in half. There's a large Caterpillar plant, and land on the west side of the interstate that Caterpillar once planned to expand onto became retail, hotels and shopping instead.
- Nearby
- No traditional downtown, but a central stretch with restaurants, coffee shops and boutique shopping, plus several parks. Morton calls itself the Pumpkin Capital of the World, and the four-day Morton Pumpkin Festival, held every September since 1967, is the big event of the year.
